A Stone Acres Farm wedding has a way of feeling magical, and Caroline and Pasquale’s day was no exception. From the beginning, every moment of their weekend felt intentional and reflective of who they are. Warm, kind, and effortlessly timeless.

Their story with me began in the most unexpected way. I met Caroline in a coffee shop while photographing another couple, one of those serendipitous encounters that simply feels meant to be. From their engagement session to a wedding weekend that began along the Connecticut shoreline with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Breakwater in Stonington Borough, it has been an honor to witness their love unfold.

The wedding day blended whimsical garden romance with elegant details. It felt like a natural extension of everything Stone Acres Farm does so beautifully.

The Night Before: An Elegant Stonington Rehearsal Dinner at Breakwater

The night before their Stone Acres Farm wedding, Caroline and Pasquale hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner at Breakwater in Stonington. As golden hour was starting to set across the harbor, we slipped out onto the dock for portraits. The setting here was absolute perfection!

Caroline’s halter dress paired beautifully with Pasquale’s rich suit. Guests shared laughter and easy conversation throughout the evening. It was the kind of gathering where couples linger with their closest people before the celebration truly begins. It’s why I love when couples choose to host rehearsal dinners and full on wedding weekends. It gives them more time to spend with those who matter most to them.

Getting Ready in the Manor House at Stone Acres Farm

The morning of their Stone Acres Farm wedding was full of anticipation and soft light drifting through the historic windows of the estate. Caroline got ready in one of the venue’s thoughtfully designed rooms, surrounded by delicate wallpaper and heirloom furnishings. Every corner felt reflective of her — soft, timeless, and quietly beautiful. She wore a stunning Vera Wang gown and shared an emotional first look with her father.

Meanwhile, the guys passed time in the open fields, tossing a baseball beneath the trees and later gathering around the table for cards. One of the most beautiful parts of a Stone Acres Farm wedding is the balance it offers. You have intimate indoor spaces that feel like home alongside expansive outdoor settings that allow memories unfold naturally.

Outdoor Stone Acres Wedding Ceremony in The Boxwood Garden

Caroline and Pasquale gathered in the Boxwood Garden at Stone Acres Farm for their ceremony, surrounded by beautiful greenery and an intimate stillness. The space carried a whimsical softness as they exchanged vows through quiet tears, gentle laughter, and hands held tightly together. Their ceremony felt deeply emotional yet beautifully simple, with every word settling softly into the garden.

As they walked back down the aisle, guests shook custom tambourines marked with their initials. It was joyful, playful, and truly reflected the warmth of their Stone Acres Farm wedding.

Newlywed Portraits in the Manor House & Gardens

After the ceremony, Caroline and Pasquale slipped back into the manor house with their sweet dog Sunny, allowing for a few quiet moments to settle into the reality of just-married life. Inside, the historic rooms felt soft and intimate with the patterned wallpaper, filtered window light, and small pockets of stillness where they shared a drink and simply existed together.

We moved through staircases and doorways before wandering back into the gardens, where they laughed and leaned into one another in that easy way that comes after the ceremony is over. It was a gentle pause before the evening celebrations began, filled with the kind of closeness that stays with you long after the day ends.

One thing about Caroline and Pasquale is that they are so easy to photograph. One of those couples that you can say without a doubt were made for each other.

Whimsical Stone Acres Farm Wedding Reception in The Meadow

After portraits, Caroline and Pasquale made their way to the glass greenhouse for cocktail hour. They spent time mingling with guests and easing into the evening ahead. From there, everyone gathered in The Meadow, a spacious field pavilion that offered an open-air yet intimate setting beneath the tent. Inside, warm candlelight, soft greenery, and vibrant yellow blooms by Studio Flowers lined the wooden tables. They even made place cards with beautiful dried flowers for their guests. The design was elegant while still perfectly at home in the meadow.

The evening began with a beautiful first dance beneath strings of light. From there, heartfelt toasts followed and the dance floor stayed full well into the night. Caroline’s gown transformed for the reception with a second look that felt playful and effortless for dancing while still keeping its romantic character. Laughter, music, shared cake bites, and spontaneous moments carried the celebration forward, bringing their Stone Acres Farm wedding to a joyful close.
